An interview with...
What is your role at camp?
I am Co-Director with the wonderful Natalie O'Connor.
What is your profession?
I am a Swim Coach and Lifeguard for the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District. I have been coaching and teaching swimming at Pal-Mac for many years. Lately, I have been concentrating on the youngest of our swimmers - teaching them basic techniques and swim strokes, so they can become young competitive swimmers.
What do you do for fun?
I love spending as much time as I possibly can with my family - which includes , my husband - 4 children - 3 blended family children, their spouses and 3 grandkiddos. Next to my family, being outdoors is my greatest love - whether it is cross-country skiing, hiking or swimming in the lakes or the ocean.
What are you most excited for about camp?
I am so anxious to share my love of family and nature with a group of young campers. Being on Seneca Lake is such a beautiful setting to share with others. Having been involved with camps in the past, there is nothing better than seeing the love of outdoors of the faces of our campers. And to be in a successful community is just a blessing on top of everything.
